Revealed: The Best Diet To Drop Body fat FAST
The biggest question I get when it comes to nutrition is ‘what’s the best diet to drop weight quickly?’ and it’s completely understandable why people want to ask that question. For most people they are looking to me as an expert and wanting my advice on it because they feel it’s where they have failed over the years.
Diet is important. If you exercise 30 minutes per day all week but have a too much food (even of the right things) you’re going to limit what you can achieve.
I do actually hate the word ‘diet’, because it implies something short-term to get a result, when what you really need is a mind-set shift, new habits and getting rid of the old habits.
There are a lot of diet plans out there, and a lot of hype around them all:
- Paleo – ‘because this is how cavemen ate and we all came from cavemen’.
- Then there’s Keto – ‘Because you use fat as fuel source’.
- Intermittent Fasting – ‘because you spend a lot time in a fasted state which teaches your body to burn more fat’
- You could go Vegan – ‘all these animal products have hormones in them that make you fat’.
- Or Carb Cycling – ‘the cycling of carbs tricks your body into knowing how to use carbs better’
Which one is best?
Well to lose body fat you need ONE SIMPLE THING – to be in a calorie deficit! This simply means that you burn more than you take in, consistently. That’s the essence of it all. Sure protein intake and veg is important, clean eating is preferable and all that but it ultimately comes down to being in a calorie deficit.
So which one do I choose then?
The best choice is the one that allows you to eat in a calorie deficit over a long period of time. Which ultimately means the least restrictive and most enjoyable one for YOU. As long as you are taking in less calories than your body burns, you will lose weight. You’ll also be able to treat yourself when you know you have a framework to work in, so that you can stick to the plan more easily.
I personally like to combine the best elements of each that work best for me.
