Tips to fall asleep like a champ!

1. Make sure your bedroom is only for 2 things: One is sleep and the other is 😉

It’s important to create an environment where your body starts to only associate your bedroom with sleep.

  • This means No TV or Devices.
  • Keep these things for the living room.

2. Avoid artificial lights during hours of no natural sunlight!

Lol. But how am I supposed to function around my house during winter months when it gets dark at 4pm?

Answer: Use Blue light blocking glasses

How it works (in simple language)

When it’s daylight we produce alertness/action hormones that get us ready to handle the day.

When it’s dark, we produce repair/recovery hormones.

In this context at least, our bodies cannot tell the difference between artificial light (devices etc) and natural light. So if you’re trying to sleep and exposing yourself to loads of artificial light right before bed, it’s no wonder you are finding it hard to sleep deeply and peacefully.

How do the glasses work?

They block the blue light (which is the part of the light spectrum that influences these hormones the most). Even most mobile phones nowadays have a blue-light blocking feature where the screen is yellow after a certain time to help with this problem.
